![]() What's wrong? Why is it doing this? I'm not entirely well-versed in emulators/roms so please excuse me if there is some blatant, rookie mistake I am making. I went back to Nestopia and tried mapping all the controls to my keyboard and even that didn't work. Ideal for use with your favourite Atari Sega & Nintendo emulator such as Nestopia NES Emulator, FCEUX, Jnes, Nesticle, VirtuaNES, NESten, NesterJ, RockNES. Amazon and ThinkGeek offer USB controllers that closely resemble the original NES. I did the same thing with the emulator and tried out FCEUX instead and still nothing. The two most popular choices for emulators are FCEUX and Nestopia. FCEUX (FCE Ultra) comes pretty close to Nestopia in terms of quality. Its been around a long time and is generally considered the best. I still have this problem from time to time and never could figure out why. Nestopia is an excellent Nintendo emulator. I believe that was an older version of Nestopia though. I figured maybe it was a bad rom so I downloaded a different version and that didn't work either. Not sure if using different ports matter much, but I do recall reading something awhile back where Nestopia required the controller to be plugged into the same USB port each time once configured. dmg file, and I installed Pinnacle Gamer Profile. I ran joy.cpl on my computer and made sure the controller was set as preferred and was properly calibrated, I downloaded Emulator Enhancer but couldn't find anything on how to install it and didn't know what to do with the. I dont have an X-box controller, but my Logitech one works fine. sudo apt-get install mednafen and then mednafen /path/to/rom Once started its just ALT+SHIFT+1 to configure the joystick. I looked all over the Internet for a solution and tried many different things. Its officially supported in the repositories (so no compile) and can be run from the command line. I just downloaded Nestopia today and have been trying to get the controls to work.
